The
Court Services Office also serves as a liaison between the courts and
the
Tri-County Regional
Jail.
Deputies work closely with the clerks of the Municipal and Common
Pleas Court to track inmate appearances in the Madison County court
system. Inmates are escorted to all court appearances by the Court
Services staff.
Deputies also complete the Court Appearance records and forward
all pertinent information to the
Tri-County Regional Jail for
appropriate action.
When inmates are due in court, but held at a different jail or
correctional facility, the Court Services Office transports these
inmates to and from court.
Finally, the office is responsible for the processing of Grand
Jury Indictments where the defendant is not held in custody, but
released pending trial on his /her own recognizance.
